I use PowerPoint every single day; in fact, my printing business runs on it, but not for presentations - my last presentation using PowerPoint was more than 3 years ago. PowerPoint is my workhorse for basic design, document composition and printing. No need for sophisticated and heavy tools for desktop publishing. Illustrator is just like a companion, used when I need some image editing and font manipulation that can not be done on PowerPoint. I wish that PowerPoint will someday support glyphs.
